Starbucks cup embellished with the tangle Cyme. I used a Sharpie fine marker for the wide lines, and a Faber Castell permanent “S” for the finer lines. The shading was created with a Copic colorless marker which “melted” the existing lines so I could pull the diluted ink into the white areas.
Side view. The tangle Printemps was done by stippling with a Faber Castel “S” marker, and light shading made using a very pale blue Copic marker.
I had a tough time getting the hang of Mooka. Here’s an attempt that I like and I don’t care that it isn’t quite “right.” Repeat after me: There are no mistakes in Zentangle.
Dex and Bunzo are two tangles I’d never think of putting together, but the Diva did. Well, what do you know! They play well together! Diva Challenge 217
One of my favorite tangles, ‘Nzeppel can be done with a more regular grid as in the lower half of the tile, or an irregular fashion as in the top half. The two styles play well together, too.
I was enthralled with the Legend card when I received my Zentangle Kit, and started making my own. I tried for a mix of tangles: grid and organic; dense and open. I love making them in their own right, and now I have a small collection of Legends and Cue Cards.
